Timber playhouses offer a child a chance to allow their imaginations to soar and while away many a summers afternoon playing in one. Luckily for parents they have a number of different styles and sizes of playhouses that they can select from. So finding one that their children will have hours of fun with is not that difficult.

When it comes to where you should be buying your child’s timber playhouse from you have a number of options available to you. You could if you want go to your local garden centre or DIY store in order to see what they have available or you could search for them online instead. Today, most of the playhouses now available come in prefabricated form and instructions are provided so you can actually assemble it yourself.

Although these are more expensive you will be able to design a playhouse that is completely unique. Plus you should place it in a location within the garden that throughout the day natural sunlight is on it.

It is important to note that any building that is over 100 sq ft that is to be installed at your home may well require building permits before it can be erected. Therefore it is crucial that you check with your local authority what the position is in regards to the playhouse that you wish to install.

The actual size of the playhouse you select should be one that can meet your child’s requirements at the time of construction, but also as they grow older. Certainly a custom built one is more likely to ensure that all their requirements will be met and you will not need to spend more money replacing it at a later date.

So you have chosen where the playhouse is going to be located and the size, now you need to decide on what style you want. This of all the factors that you have to take into consideration when selecting timber playhouses for your children is going to be difficult. It therefore may be wise to actual allow your children some input at this stage as to what they want. Then not only will you be happy but they will be as well.
