Metal Gazebo As Building Block Of Your Backyard Design

It is not a lie that people’s backyards are an in-depth look into their way of thinking and emotions. Some go as far as to define it as a way of life. After all, especially for the creative among us, it is a great way to express oneself and then share and enjoy it with others. Another reason might be someone’s love for outdoor activities and the desire to preserve that feeling into their own home point of a garden design!

Why a metal gazebo, you may wonder? It is true that there are plenty of different types of gazebos, but what make the metal gazebo perfect for a garden theme are its light weight, durability, strength and style. It may sound odd that style and metal are used in one sentence, but the possibilities of great design and fancy shapes are only limited by your own imagination! Depending on the type of mood you are aiming to achieve you can choose between stylish, complex, colorful or more simplistic solutions that, regardless, provide high quality and are built to last.

Inspiration is always at arm’s length away, but sometimes a little help is good to have. Remember that a garden is a lot more than a place to grow flowers or vegetables. It’s an opportunity to escape from our daily lives and provide us with a magical space to gather our thoughts, relax and enjoy warm conversations with our close people. A well chosen backyard gazebo unit builds upon that by making it possible to enjoy a feeling of intimacy even in a rather vast garden, regardless of nature’s whim.

With metal gazebo shapes ranging from square, through oval and round, to even 12-sided constructions, it is possible to supplement any garden design and idea that you come up with. Often the gazebo itself is the main source of inspiration for the rest — a comfy tea table zone perhaps, pots with vines climbing up the gazebo, a Zen garden with flowing water and a small waterfall, a few palm trees on a patio with a hammock in between, a flower garden with metal furniture and geometric water fountain with a design complimentary to the gazebo, and so on. The possibilities are endless.

As if gazebo style choices are not versatile enough, the type of metal used for the construction is also something to consider. Aluminum is of course the cheapest, lightweight, and most easy to set up, but steel and wrought iron are also popular choices. The latter are more durable and less affected by wind, but slightly more expensive.

When it comes to building and putting up the actual metal gazebo you could either buy a kit or have a company set it up for you. Depending on the model it may require a concrete base, so it’s good to check that in advance. Another thing to think over[spin] is the roof – metal gazebos, in the majority, come with a contiguous roof and the [spin]idea behind this is to keep live loads from gathering on the roof as much as possible.

A nice option that is usually available for protection in hot days is the purchase of a canopy cover that rests down onto the metal frame of the structure. As an example for the use of that is when the metal gazebo is left up through the whole year. In that case the canopy can be installed for a particularly hot summer period and later removed during the winter months. Not always necessary though, as many canopies are more than often made from strong materials that can withstand harsh weather.

Once you experience the advantages of having a metal gazebo in your garden you will never want to go back. It will make everyday family events seem like something special and unique.
