In order to offer right amount of water supply to the plants in a timely manner, irrigation systems are planned and installed. So, it becomes essential to have your watering system properly designed and installed.

Several irrigation techniques are developed with the advent of modern technology, which use as little water as possible giving satisfactory positive results. Drip irrigation is such powerful and efficient watering method. So, purchase drip irrigation supplies from the store and install suitable drip irrigation systems in your garden.

There are two types of systems available such as sprinkler/spray head and drip or trickle irrigation systems for supplying water to the crops or vegetations in the garden.

For the large areas of crop or lawn, sprinkler type systems are developed which are very common. There are permanent fixed sprinkler heads or some form of movable spray head or sprinkler system for your easy watering needs.

Most gardeners prefer to divide large watering systems into some independent irrigation zones. Such irrigation zone is a group of drip emitters or sprinklers and all are controlled together at the same time. The pump and your delivery pipe-work have to be capable enough to supply at least one such water zone with water, at any time.

The main reason for dividing irrigation systems into zones is that there is usually not enough pressure or flow available for sprinklers to run for an entire yard at once. Each zone should have a solenoid valve on it and have control on it via wire by using a Controller.

When it comes to the chance of potable water contamination, your irrigation systems can become high-risk. But there are some components like sprinkler heads that can allow contaminants for instance, pesticides, pet feces, fertilizers, etc. into water supplies, and for that reason, back-flow prevention equipments are used for eliminating such possible hazards.

For drip irrigation systems, there are several plus-points. More importantly, they provide constant moisture to the garden plants without making them saturated. Because, they involve water slowly water supply, which goes directly to the soil. Therefore, this dripping method of irrigation is considered to be highly efficient watering solutions.

Drip irrigation kits allow you to water plants separately with emitters, or water groups of plants with micro-spray stakes or tapes that ooze water along their entire length.

Unfortunately, drip emitters have certain drawbacks as they are easily plugged by silt or other particles not filtered out of the water. Moreover, the emitter blockages might be caused by growing in the tape and/or by chemical deposits at the emitter head.

As a result, drip irrigation systems require high filtration and fine water quality than those of sprinklers. Suppose that your water source is surface just like ditch and reservoir, high level of filtration stages should be utilized. Suppose, a borehole source is used, then you will require less filtration.

Sprinklers water unevenly, waste water, and are hard to reconfigure. Sprinkler irrigation systems, if you think, are one of the most used watering systems worldwide.

Most of landscape plants typically dry out quickly. Plants are appropriate in one climate might not work well in another. The skilled operator of an irrigation system will ensure that his/her plants will always receive the proper amount of water for health, and optimum crop, landscape planting growth, or lawn quality.
