I’ve been a weekend woodworker for over 20 years. I recently purchased the Shop Fox 14″ saw to add versatility to my shop. The Shop Fox is heavy and well built. The cast iron wheels and 1 HP motor have effortlessly resawn several feet of black walnut. I’ve also cut veneer sheets from pecan that you could actually see light through. I spent about 2 hours setting up the saw, using the instructions in the manual. The saw required only minimal adjustments and those have not drifted at all in the last 6 weeks of use. I have used 1/8″, 1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″ blades so far, all with no tracking problems or other issues. Blade changes are straight-forward and adjusting the guides is simple, but the lower guides are hard to reach unless you get down under the table. It’s still not too bad and the adjustments are logically laid out. A riser is available that provides an additional 6″ re-saw capability. I can recommend this saw to anyone.

I have had this saw for three years and have used it weekly as a weekend warrior. It is a permanent fixture in the shop and has proved to be very reliable. It is marketed lower than grizzly but has exceeded my expectations as my friend bought grizzly at same time. I use as resaw and have tested the everything from oak to walnut and it performs flawlessly. Drift is so low that I kept rechecking my work when first bought.

    Pluses
very well built with solid wheels
Practically true out of the box
has held up strong under humid conditions
extras such as riser and under storage is a huge benefit
4″ built in dust control is standard

well, I bought some really cool masks that came from all over the world. I also bought some victorian lady masks. I buy jewelry and guitars too. Give it a try. All you need is a digital camera and a computer.

Go with something very LIGHT in weight. Between you can your buyer, the shipping costs are a factor.

Experiement with several different kinds of products and see how much you can get for them. Then see if what you get is worth your time and materials.

You can also search on closed auctions (see Ebay, advanced search, check the box for closed auctions only). Use this search on various things like candles and bird feeders to see how much people paid for similar items.

    Good luck.
