Response to Review titled “Chinese junk”, from May 11, 2010,
I’d like to correct this review. At first glance after opening my package with cutting saw, 2 washers, and mandrel, it seemed that the reviewer was correct. The hole on the saw blade was too big for the mandrel, and it was very loose. HOWEVER, after about 5 min. playing around with it I realized something very important: The blade came with 2 washers. I had one on either side of the blade. By simply removing the washer on the side of the blade which is *towards* the dremel when in operation, I discovered a small lip on the mandrel, which was covered by the washer, which is *exactly* the same size as the hole in the blade. By pushing the blade down and tightening up the mandrel with that inside washer now gone, the lip on the mandrel slipped perfectly into the hole on the blade, forming a tight, perfectly wiggle-free connection with no play whatsoever. The blade is fairly well balanced and now cuts up to 20,000 RPM or so with no problem. Excellent Buy. Highly Recommend.
Update (~Feb 2013): I bought another one of these and the fit was not perfect like the first. It now has some slop. I still recommend the item, but what you get may not come out as good as my first one did. Again, though, I still think it’s worth the risk. I’d buy it again.

Poor Item,
This item has a IMPOSSIBLE-TO-BALANCE mandrel.
I read the review “Response to Review titled “Chinese junk”, from May 11, 2010″ and try to center using the washer behind the blade, until I realized the following:
– The mandrel itself was unbalanced and bent.
– The mandrel thread is miscentered… *sigh*….
Then… I did not threw it away because I like the saw… I tried several combinations and ended this:
– I had to install the blade WITHOUT the lock wash.
– Installed the mandrel into the Dremel, and ran it at full speed, and slowly grind with a sharpening stone. That balanced a bit.
– Used a hammer and aheavy chisel to SO-SO finish to balance the mandrel……
– Then, i used loctite thread lock to fix the blade and the screw.
I know the most people expect a plug&play item… that’s why this deserves -1 stars, but i gave the “i dont like it” 2 stars because once it was FINALLY semi-balanced…. it cuts wood like butter….
