Testing Would Have Helped,
Tool was fairly versatile for the first three times I changed bits, however, the fourth time I changed the bit, the plastic chuck-stop, the device you press in to lock the the chuck so you can tighten or loosen the collet broke. Upon disassembly, it turns out the chuck-stop pin is metal and the chuck-stop button that holds it is plastic. Once this breaks the tool is nearly worthless. With the amount of torque normally put on for a bit, using plastic is a decision to construct something not intended to last. If you want a reliable tool, you may consider going elsewhere. Calling the company, even after expiration of the warranty, worked well and Alltrade promised to replace the tool with one that had a working button chuck-lock if I send in the broken tool. Thus two stars for the tool design and four stars for Alltrade. I’d give them five if they get the plastic button replaced by a metal one.

Great value!,
I just received this today and put it straight to work. I needed to cut off a metal curtain hanger that the previous owner of my home decided to mount molding over. It did a great job. This tool is perfect for the once in awhile do-it-yourselfer that normally borrows tools instead of buying them (like me). It comes with everything I needed to do the jobs I want it for. If I was to use this tool regularly I would probably opt for a cordless, but I really only see myself using it about twice a year so I can deal with the cable.
Pros:
· Amazing price.
· Nice case. It is plastic but does its job.
· Great selection of accessories included.
Cons:
· Short power cord (an extension cord is definitely needed if you plan to work more than a few feet from a power outlet).
· Not professional grade quality.
· Lacks some of the newer convenience features such as Dremel’s EZ lock (although you can probably just buy the shank separately).
From my initial impression, I will definitely be recommending this option to my friends in the market for a rotary tool.
