Works Great With Lithium Ion Battery Packs, Powerful, Long-Lasting, January 12, 2014

    Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
This review is from: Ryobi P234g 18 Volt Impact Driver Lithium-ion (Tool Only, Battery and Charger Not Included0 (Misc.)
I added this to my tool kit mainly to drive screws, and boy, it is WAY better than my cordless Ryobi drill for doing that!

Both the drill and the impact driver (impact wrench) use the same battery pack, and the impact driver is like the Energizer Bunny when it comes to driving screws. It will easily outlast the drill’s endurance, many times over.

It’s lightweight, comfortable, easy to operate, and comes with a couple of basic attachments.

LED lights almost worthless, July 10, 2013
    By

This review is from: Ryobi P234g 18 Volt Impact Driver Lithium-ion (Tool Only, Battery and Charger Not Included0 (Misc.)
Don’t get me wrong, this is a good tool. However, the engineer that decided how the LED lights should work needs to try to operate it in a low light situation. The lights only come on once the chuck starts to turn so you have two choices – either try to insert the bit in the fastener while it is turning, or try to do it in the dark. Either way it’s a hassel and annoying. I guess it would be an ok flashlight in a pinch. BTW this is how the lights work on all Ryobi tools. I e-mailed the factory about this and they simply said “sorry that’s the way it works.” Note that virtually all other competitive brands of drivers and drills have their lights come on before the chuck starts to turn, and on some it even stays on for about five seconds after the chuck stops.
