I’ve used this blade-loc for years on my table saw. It beats the folded leather glove routine by a long shot. As I read these reviews, I’m amused/alarmed at the creative approaches to holding blades stationary while loosening the arbor nut. This is a much better way – no more effective than my old folded leather glove approach, but has the advantage that one doesn’t have to keep track of an old pair of leather gloves. ?

Bench dog has a number of useful plastic accessories for the woodworker. I’ve also found the Bench Dog(R) Pro-Cut(tm) Portable Saw Guide, feather boards, and push sticks handy, f.y.i. Plastic blade locks are also available from other manufacturers (e.g., Milescraft 3401) but I haven’t seen the need to try any.

    Good product. Recommended.

I love this piece of plastic. For someone who isn’t used to changing blades quite yet, this is a finger saver and makes me much more confident in setting up my table saw. I use it to change out my 10inch blades and though the teeth cut into the plastic a little, it just adds traction, it has not made the device any less useful.

Doesn’t grip the blade well, there should be a rubber bad inside but instead it’s hard plastic and slips easily on the blade. Don’t waste your money, stick with a towel.
