Be honest, no one knows who you are. Mine is but I am trying to fix it. I am a lifelong horder and collector and the junk and stuff just piles up all over.
yes it is!! However, I am currently working to correct the problem. I think my trash man hates me, the goodwill loves me, and my youngest son is beginning to despise me since I have been on a decluttering binge.

My mother was a horder and it annoyed me!!! It also rubbed off on me, but I have a roommate that just moved in and her mother is a housekeeper so she learned how to keep a house looking good. So now I am learning from her..

Hording can be a very serious problem, and I feel for you. Any time we are hurt spiritually, usually as young children, it leaves a mark. These marks can show up later in life as drug use, promiscuity, overeating, or hording. My suggestion to you would be to honestly turn your life over to God and let Him heal you from the inside out. You will never be successful in treating the symptoms, you have to kill the root. I’m so sorry you were hurt, I hope you fine peace and joy in you life. Good luck,
Sincerely,
Dana (AKA former hoarder)

Mess just seems to multiply in my house…I work 12 hour shifts so I never have time to clean when I get home cause I’m absolutely exhausted and when I finally get to it, it soon gets messy again….don’t ask me why. Every time I clear out bags and bags of garbage, I just wonder where it all came from, only to be doing the same thing 2 weeks down the line.

I am a pack rat. My hubby doesn’t keep a thing. He says if you don’t use it within a month toss it. He’s right. i very rarely miss anything he has gotten rid of. It’s hard but it needs to be done. Do you use that stuff?

Only my basement is, all the junk goes down there so no one can see it. The rest of the house, I try to keep clean and clutter-free. I find it too stress full to live in a house full of clutter and debris. I am not a hoarder either, I do a lot of donating things to charities. My motto is, if I haven’t needed it in the last 6 weeks, then get rid of it, I don’t need it. But, I do know, many hoarders, I have one friend who complains to me constantly about the mess in her living room all the time, and how she can’t get rid of anything. She makes me nuts, sometimes! UGH! I don’t know how to help her, I offer to organize her all the time, but she won’t get rid of anything!

Absolutely, it is awful to the point I don’t want anyone coming over. I have never been this bad. Began divorce proceedings a year ago and had to sort through things and separate things. Had to take pictures off walls, etc… now everything is just piled up everywhere. I can’t get the time or energy to organize the house or do anything about it. I am trying to run a business, take care of my elderly mom, my recovering dog, and do outdoor work too now. I am about at the point, I could care less about the house. It isn’t my priority.

I am a neat freak. I have to dust the ceiling fan and mini blinds along with all the furniture atleast once a week. I am a compulsive vacumer and I bleach the tub and toilet every other day! My mom is OCD so I may have tendancies to be. But I dont feel bad if I skip a few days of cleaning…I just feel better when my house is clean and organized.

It sucks! But yeah, mine is bad too. We are just clutter junkies. It’s dusty, but not with food lying around. We just have so much junk and my hubby never throws out anything that might be useful later. Actually, he brings stuff home from work that might serve a purpose eventually. What is really bad is that on many occaisions his stuff has actually saved us a bunch of money by allowing him to fix something with one of his “treasures”. Oh well, at least I can still see my floor.
